Collegiate High Performance Sculling

This program is designed specifically for highly motivated collegiate athletes who have the sculling proficiency and proven speed to train for competition at the international level. Athletes will train in both coached and independent sessions, with priority access to top club equipment throughout the summer. Athletes should plan on racing at both the USRowing Summer National Championship and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.

Athletes should possess significant comfort and skill in the single, as much of the summer’s training will be in small boats. Female athletes should have a 2k of 7:30 or faster, male athletes should have a 2k of 6:30 or faster. Coaches are willing to consult with athletes who do not yet meet the erg criteria, to determine if other factors make the athlete a suitable candidate for this program.

Athletes will be expected to commit 100% to 10 on the water workouts per week, with 2-3 additional dry land workouts and video review sessions. Practices will be a mix of coached and independent sessions, but the group will train together regardless.
