Adult Beginner Rowing Workshop
NEW! Adult Rowing Workshop. This week long workshop is for adults interested in learning the sport of rowing. No experience is necessary.
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of rowing. Before getting on the water you will learn about water and boat safety, proper handling of the equipment and the mechanics of the rowing stroke using an ergometer (indoor rowing machine). After learning the basics you will have the opportunity to test it out on the water in our very stable training barge where you can experience rowing on the water without risk of tipping. By the end of the week, those who feel comfortable can try rowing in a sleek 8+ man rowing shell.
Rowing is a low impact workout that benefits the entire body. Great Bay Rowing is a community based program developed to foster interest in the sport of rowing in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire at both the adult (master) and high school age(junior) level. We strive to provide a rewarding rowing experience that encourages club pride and individual achievement. Participation is open to anyone interested in, or engaged in rowing to seacoast area residents.
